So the question that comes immediately to mind is ‘Do the ends justify the means?”
Many protesters believe that acting in an uncivilized manner is warranted to get their point across. I believe that your personal behavior is a reflection of your values and that if you truly believe in your cause then you must always reflect your values in your every move. The best example of this is Gandhi who used his non-violent protests and persistence to defeat the greatest empire in the world. Captain Bruce Sinclair Pilots for 9/11Truth
Civil Information[ing] is loving yourself and your community enough to teach yourself the most vital under-reported and mis-reported information, and then to teach that information to your community. Civil Information Activism (CIA) is not screaming at buildings with a bullhorn or creating face to face confrontations with the media or the police. CIA is attempting to connect with your community in the most respectful manner possible. CIA is not blaming the media, but becoming the media. CIA is acting in small non-threatening groups, not creating a mob or riot mentality which will only hasten the police state we see growing year by year. Civil Information Activism is one of the few options I currently recognize as being a productive tool in the battle to disseminate information and to create the world most of us wish to live in. Raymond Geisler Producer/Host of the Unbought and Unbossed radio show,
For me Civil Information Activism is very simple. Share the truth. Share the truth with love. Share the truth with friends, family, strangers, and if you are really brave the people you work with. Share the truth not as a guru, not as a know it all, not as a "I know something you don't", rather share it humbly. Share small or share big but share. Share like you are Gandhi, or share like you are in kindergarten, but share.

Civil information activism combines respect, perseverance and commitment to achieve the goal of bringing an important cause to public awareness.
It empowers citizens to become a medium source of Information, facts or data that's sometimes over looked or ignored by corporate media.
Civil information activism is taking part during events in a safe, non confrontational manner, never putting the public or activist at risk.
It's foundation is based on respect for all people, property and the rule of law
First rule of Civil Information Activism is "Think for yourself and let others enjoy the privilege of doing so too." Voltaire

"If you want the public to hear you once, you have to say what you're saying five or 10 times." To help keep fresh the unresolved questions surrounding the events of 9/11/01 posters were put up on city provided kiosks by-weekly in the city of Edmonton beginning in the winter of 2008 to ending in the fall of 2011.
Since March of 2007 Edmonton activists participated as did other citizen groups across Canada providing the latest news and information regarding the outstanding questions concerning the events of 9/11. Edmonton citizens shared thousands of DVDs "9/11 Blueprint for Truth" (Winnipeg Conference) and DVDs directly purchased from Architects and Engineers for 9/11 truth have been distributed throughout the two cities of Winnipeg and Edmonton Canada.
Edmonton 9/11 activists have provided thousands of brochures and public newsletters distributing them to public during rallies, festivals and on numerous busy street corners since March of 2007. Activists became the media bringing the latest news and information into our community
Friends and supporters of 9/11 truth did hundreds of civil information actions in the city of Edmonton from March 2007 - November 2011, never shying from the controversial questions surrounding the events of 9/11. They took their cause publicly out into their community, keeping Edmontonians up-dated and informed to the ever growing doubts of the official 9/11 story. They became the media by providing the best news and information that corporate media has either ignored or covered up. No activist from our small group has ever been arrested or injured during actions. One city of Edmonton By-Law officer commended our group's actions and said other causes would benefit from civil information activism.

Audience Question:
Why are we accepting what the American government is telling us what happened on September 11, 2001 at face value, when it's all over the Internet that it could not possibly have happened without help from the inside, especially the building called number seven that fell for no reason at all! (audience applause).
CBC.CA Heather Mallick:
"So did everyone hear that, the question is why have we accepted the official explanation for September 11, the American explanation?, Well it's very interesting because even Seymour Hersh who I trust more than any journalist in the world says " I don't know what happened on 9/11?". I'm not sure but I think the main reason why we accept that version is because there is no one out there in mainstream journalism giving us any information on that, we are just told what governments and corporations want us to hear, we rely on corporate sources of information. In Canada our newspapers are owned by for instance Globe and Mail is owned by CTV, Global ( PostMedia) owns newspapers published across the country...I still can't believe that that is true...it's talking to me, but your never going to get alternative views of current affairs and of history as long as the means of transmitting information is so corporately owned."

After several confrontations over the years between civil info activists and corporate security, police and peace officers, I've learned most authorities are not willing to ticket nor arrest you, but would rather reach a compromise or agreement where all parties can be happy. It's a small few whose egos might overshadow the law they're suppose to enforce that we must pay special attention to and take precautions to protect ourselves against. Working in groups no less than 2 in public areas and always having a camera on hand to record confrontations are some steps you can take to protect yourselves. An EPS sergeant once cautioned our activists that some officers give no options to continue actions in public areas. He advised when told to leave - just cooperate and move out of the area. I would agree since you can't do civil information actions effectively from a jail cell. Submitting a formal complaint against the officer may be your next move. Remember to be civil, respectful, avoiding long debates and arguments. Your goal is to peacefully resolve these situations so your able to continue your civil information actions.

The skies the limit for civil information actions. All you need is goal, creative planning and belief in yourself. Doug Brinkman 9/11 activist
1 in 3 Canadians doubt the official 9/11 story
Back in the spring of 2008, our small, enthusiastic group of 9/11 Truth friends and supporters had just completed another afternoon of activism at the popular Old Strathcona farmer's market. We congratulated and hugged each other for another good day's job of activism, and went on our separate ways. Along my way home I stopped at an outdoor cafe and decided to rest my feet and enjoy a cup of coffee. Several Edmonton police officers parked their bikes next to the cafe and sat at a table next to me.
My mouth still warm from talking to dozens of people at the farmer's market, I decided strike up some friendly conversation with the 4 officers on their coffee break and tell them the story I've shared thousands of times as a civil info activist about World Trade Center Building 7, that third tower that was not hit by a plane yet collapsed at free-fall speed at 5:20 in the afternoon on 9/11. They had a look of puzzlement on their faces that seemed to say, "Is this guy for real?". They listened politely to my story, so I kept it short and decided to share with each officer a copy of an AE911Truth brochure. They respectfully declined, as they were on duty.
One officer did ask about the collapse of WTC 7, two others looked un-interested, and the fourth officer watched me carefully with a concerned look on her face. The coffee break was over, and the officers began to mount their bikes. The female officer was the last to get up from her chair. She stood directly over me and said, "I have friends over in Afghanistan." She paused, leaned closer to me, and said, "I don't want to hear that they are over there fighting for the wrong reasons." And then she left.I said as she parted, "I hope your friends stay safe."
I returned to my now-cold coffee and was thinking about her words when a lone black woman sitting a few tables away said something I could not quite hear. I said, "Excuse me?" She said, "How in the world did you get those officers talking about 9/11? I've been trying to tell my family about Building 7 for years, and they think I'm crazy. Doug Brinkman Site publisher."

"We can ask for a second helping of pound cake, even though someone has made it quite clear that we will not get any. We can ask for a new watercolor set, even though it will be pointed out that we never used the old one, and that all of the paints dried into a crumbly mess. We can ask for Japanese fighting fish, to keep us company in our bedroom, and we can ask for a special camera that will allow us to take photographs even in the dark, for obvious reasons, and we can ask for an extra sugar cube in our coffees in the morning and an extra pillow for our beds at night. We can ask for justice, and we can ask for a handkerchief, and we can ask for cupcakes, and we can ask for all the soldiers in the world to lay down their weapons and join us in a rousing chorus of 'Cry Me a River', if that happens to be our favorite song. But we can also ask for something we are much more likely to get, and that is to find a person or two, somewhere in our travels, who will tell us that we are noble enough, whether it is true or not."
The Penultimate Peril - By Lemony Snicket
Publisher's Note: For myself I'm pretty much convinced the World Trade Centers were brought down by controlled demolition, the official story is in serious doubt and the worst day looks suspiciously like a false flag attack against Americans and all who love freedom. "Who would do this and why? Certainty not the Jews and Dick Cheney could never have pulled this off without a lot of help. That's for the future, activists, scholars and historians to figure out and fill in the blanks. Obviously we may never agree with all that happened on the worst day - 9/11. But that's the underlining foundation to this modern tool for change I fondly regard as Civil Information Activism. It's respect for all people including our critics regardless of our differences regarding the events 9/11. It's also respect for property and the rule of law as there is no place for discord, violence, hate or fear with the practice of civil information activism. Only community, information sharing, love and courage is what makes this modern activism work so successfully.
Civil Information actions is like oxygen of information for change. It seeps through any nook and cranny spreading knowledge. As for the worst day 9/11 - You got our free DVDs, you saw our banners, you got our brochures, you were invited to our Edmonton Questions 9/11 events, and we even shared our ideas about 9/11 during at the Farmers Market, the Folk Fest, the Fringe, the Grey Cup weekend and inside the cafes while you were taking a break. Now it's up to you to figure out what happened on the worst day 9/11. Remember Never stop asking questions. Richard D. Brinkman
